Massage is a modality I’ve used a lot throughout my lifting career. I used to compete and it was quite often the tool that got me to the competition and allowed recovery for the next one. I am going to look at the videos. I have arthritis in my hands and that would probably be beneficial and it’s something I can do myself anytime.

Since I've got arthritis in my ankle but haven't tried it yet myself, I can't say if it'll help. It's one reason I want to do the foot massage.

I'm assuming that anything like this that gets circulation of lymph and blood moving better and unblocks energy channels is a good thing, but feeling worse in the short term, even flu-like symptoms, can sometimes happen as waste and toxins flow into the bloodstream to get eliminated. Drinking water to flush the toxins reportedly helps. (But you undoubtedly know all this already from your weight-lifting.)
